Who We Are
Ann M. Jones is a principal in the investor relations firm, Jones, Dolan &
Company, Inc. headquartered in Irvine, California. Her firm specializes in
custom designed investor relations programs for publicly traded and pre-IPO
companies. Her firm also provides project-oriented investor relations
training and services on an as-needed basis.
Ms. Jones has over 25 years of business experience, with the last 12 years
specializing in the investor relations field. Her investor relations career
began at Rainbow Technologies, (Nasdaq: RNBO) a small-cap high technology
company located in Irvine, California. Rainbow is a leading provider of
information, voice and data communications security. Ms. Jones created the
investor relations department at Rainbow, and had full responsibility for
the day-to-day operations of that department. She was instrumental in
developing relationships and communicating with the investment community
commencing with the company’s secondary offering in 1991, and through a
variety of mergers and acquisitions.
As Director of Investor Relations for Starbase Corporation, (Nasdaq: SBAS) a
small-cap software company located in Santa Ana, California, Ms. Jones
helped increase analyst coverage and visibility in the investment community.
Starbase was acquired by Borland Corporation in January 2003.
Ms. Jones is a past president of the Orange County Chapter of the National
Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), and has been a member of NIRI since
1992. For the past seven years, she has served in various positions on the
Board of Directors for the Orange County Chapter. During her tenure on the
NIRI OC Board, the chapter, considered one of the strongest in the NIRI
organization, has won numerous awards including: Best Annual Plan, Best Memb
ership Growth, Best Innovative Idea, Distinctive Chapter, President’s Award,
Chairman’s Award and the coveted “Best Overall Chapter Award” in 1998 and
Ms. Jones is an instructor at the University of California, Irvine –
Extension in the Certificate Program for Investor Relations. Her classes
include: Introduction to Investor Relations, The Practice of Investor
Relations, the Corporate Environment and Creating the Annual Report. Ms.
Jones is also a member of the Advisory Board for the Investor Relations
Certificate Program at UCI Extension. She has been involved with the
Certificate Program since 1996 and was instrumental in helping UCI launch
During her career as an investor relations professional, Ms. Jones has
received numerous awards for her investor relations programs and corporate
Annual Reports. In June 2001, Ms. Jones received the “Outstanding Alumni”
award from University of California, Irvine – Extension for her services on
the advisory board and as an instructor in the Investor Relations
Ms. Jones is a member of the Forum for Corporate Directors, Orange County.
Ms. Jones is a graduate of the Investor Relations Certificate Program,
University of California, Irvine, and has an Associate of Science Degree
from Irvine Valley College.
Donna A. Dolan is a principal in the investor relations firm Jones, Dolan &
Company, Inc. which is headquartered in Irvine, California. Jones, Dolan &
Company, Inc. specializes in developing customized investor relations
programs for publicly traded and pre-IPO companies. The firm also provides
project-oriented investor relations services ranging from the preparation of
quarterly earnings press releases to assistance in targeting appropriate
Ms. Dolan is a senior financial professional with expertise in investor
relations, mergers, acquisitions, corporate finance, and strategic planning.
Her career encompasses a wide variety of corporate and entrepreneurial
activities. Prior to her role as principal of Jones, Dolan and Company, Ms.
Dolan spent nine years at AmerisourceBergen Corporation (NYSE: ABC), the
world’s largest distributor of pharmaceuticals, in various financial and
corporate communications positions.
At AmerisourceBergen, Ms. Dolan was appointed Vice President of Finance and
Investor Relations in a time of crisis for the company. In this role, Ms.
Dolan established a successful investor relations program and was able to
increase sell-side equity analyst coverage in excess of 75% during her
tenure, adding seven analysts to an existing base of nine. Ms. Dolan was
instrumental in communicating the company’s rapidly changing financial
situation to a variety of stakeholders, from equity and fixed-income
analysts to individual investors and financial reporters.
Prior to her employment at AmerisourceBergen, Ms. Dolan was employed at TRW
Information Services in several financial, strategic planning and marketing
roles, in various areas of the company. TRW Information Services was
ultimately purchased by GUS plc and is now known as Experian.
Ms. Dolan is a member of the board of directors of The Roman Press, Inc., a
privately held corporation headquartered in Irvine, CA and is a founder of
the textbook publishing company, Innovative Textbooks.
Ms. Dolan holds a BA degree in chemistry from the University of California
at Irvine and an MBA, with emphasis in finance and accounting, from the
University of Chicago.
